Consumer Lending License Renewal
Consumer lenders that have a license to operate within Nebraska must renew their licenses annually. Installment Loan License Renewals These licenses must be renewed annually by March 1. The renewal period begins the last week of December and ends March 1. Renewal forms are available only during the renewal period. Sales Finance License Renewals Sales Finance licenses must be renewed annually by October 1. The renewal period begins the first week of August and ends October 1. To renew a Sales Finance License, an applicant must submit: a complete Sales Finance License Renewal Application (no unanswered questions); a non-refundable application fee in the amount of $150 made payable to the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance. Once the application has been determined to be complete and all information has been submitted, the agency will determine whether the license will be renewed or canceled. The applicant will be notified in writing of the department's determination. The renewal application form for sales finance licensing will be made available in July 2008.
