Sale of Checks/Funds Transmission License

A Sale of Checks/Funds Transmission is valid from the date of issuance until the following June 30, at which time the license must be renewed.

To obtain a Sale of Checks/Funds Transmission License, an applicant must submit:
  • a complete Application for Sale of Checks and Funds Transmission License (no unanswered questions);
  • a complete Sale of Checks and Funds Transmission License Biographical Questionnaire;
  • an original surety bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in Nebraska;
  • a complete Sale of Checks and Funds Transmission Financial Statement (Individual);
  • a non-refundable application fee in the amount of $1,000 made payable to the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance.
Once the application has been determined to be complete and all information has been submitted, the agency will determine whether the license is granted or denied. The applicant will be notified in writing of the department's determination.
